Expect the area will look worse before it looks better. It may be red and itchy whilst healing like any wound.

You will have a small scab this must be treated with care to prevent infection. Scab will usually be gone within 7-10 days. 

You must keep the area dry and clean post treatment, no gym, makeup or product for 24 hours, aftercare will be supplied.

You must not fly for 48 hours post treatment. No swimming/hot tub/sauna whilst scabs are present. 

Most clients tolerate treatment, if you would like to numb purchase EMLA numbing cream form the chemist and follow the instructions including doing a patch test prior. Then 1 hour before your appointment apply thickly to clean skin and cover with cling film or an occlusive dressing/plaster. 

Painkiller: you may take paracetamol if safe, Do not take anti-inflammatories this will impede healing.

NEVER numb skin before vein treatments or illumiFacials.

If anything changes before your treatment e.g skin changes, infection, medications including antibiotics or Cold sore on the face for face treatment you must inform me 3 days before your appointment.
